Where does Fuel Daddy get its fuel prices?
Fuel Daddy pulls live prices directly from each state's official Government fuel-price feed - the QLD Fuel Price Reporting Scheme, NSW FuelCheck (which also covers the ACT), Victoria's Fair Fuel data, WA FuelWatch, and the NT and TAS price feeds. In the mandatory-reporting states retailers must report price changes within 30 minutes. Fuel Daddy refreshes every 15 minutes, so the prices you see are usually within half an hour of the bowser (VIC and WA feeds publish on a daily cycle).
Which states does Fuel Daddy cover?
Fuel prices nationwide: Queensland, New South Wales + ACT, Victoria, Western Australia, South Australia, the Northern Territory and Tasmania - 8,100+ stations including every member-only Costco fuel warehouse. Browse any state in the VIC, WA, SA, NT and TAS directories.
Is Fuel Daddy really free, with no ads?
Yes. The website and the iOS app are completely free. No banner ads, no interstitials, no tracking pixels, no email-wall, no premium tier. The data comes from public Government feeds and the site runs lean.
When is fuel cheapest?
Most Australian capitals run on a rough 4 to 6 week price cycle that follows terminal-gate wholesale prices. The cheapest days within the cycle are typically Tuesday through Thursday. Weekends are usually the most expensive. See our live fuel price trends for the last 30 days of your region's prices.
Does Fuel Daddy work without giving it my location?
Yes. The map and all prices work without any location permission. Granting location only unlocks the "Cheapest fuel near you" card, the nearest-stations list and your regional 30-day trend chart. Your coordinates stay in your browser, they are never sent to a server or stored.
How do I find the cheapest fuel near me?
Open the live fuel map, pick your fuel type and (optionally) a brand, and allow location - the map sorts the nearest stations cheapest-first. Or browse your suburb directly in the QLD, NSW, VIC, WA, NT or TAS directory. Prices refresh every 15 minutes from the official Government feeds, so you're always comparing today's real bowser prices.
